GUKRMSC is proudly affiliated with Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 1985. Grounded in the philosophy of “Release not Relief,” GUK has dedicated itself to serving the disadvantaged and destitute communities in this region, striving to enact positive and sustainable changes in their lives. GUK’s key programs span across various sectors including livelihood and food security, education and child protection, disaster risk reduction and emergency response, climate change adaptation, safe migration, inclusive financing, women empowerment and gender-based violence, human rights, good governance, skill development and job placement of youths, health, nutrition and WASH, disability-inclusive development, agriculture and market linkage, research and policy influence, among others. Presently, GUK operates a multitude of development programs across 15 districts nationwide, including crucial initiatives such as Rohingya response efforts in Cox’s Bazar.
